Thea finds out Oliver is the Arrow – “Canaries” (3.13)
It’s about time Oliver had shared this secret with Thea. It was long overdue. Not only did she find out that Oliver was The Arrow, but that the whole team headquarters was in the basement of her club Verdant! Did she whine, get angry, curse her brother’s name with a thousand suns and storm off to be her normal self-destructive self? No, she took it well. Like an adult actually. Heck, she was even proud. Of course then she turned all her anger toward Malcolm, but we won’t go there. It was a sigh of relief to all of us, because we weren’t really willing to go through another “you lied to me” betrayal sequence.
Great list, Alice. To be honest, i wasn’t sure there were ten highlights, but you found them. I especially liked Thea’s reaction to Oliver revealing himself as the Arrow. I can’t believe she was written as so mature. And Laurel — whose name is the best, I must say 😉 — did have a good arc. I very much enjoy her and Nyssa’s friendship/mentorship, especially as both have something to off the other, making it much less one-sided. The rest was spot on. It was a very uneven season, and makes me go into Season 4 pretty ho hum. I’ll tune in but only because there’s nothing else I watch at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, and I’ll enjoy the lead up to SPN. Hoping the writers get their heads back on straight and make S4 much, much better.
Looking forward to the lowlights, but I wonder how you’ll keep the number so low…
Thanks elle2! I don’t know, Arrow season three wasn’t all that bad. But the wheels really did fall off the wagon in the second half of the season for sure. I’ll be attending the Arrow press room at Comic Con again this year so I’m very curious to see what plans they have for season four. I hope they see the error of their ways in season three.
