Here’s an interesting press release from The CW.  Don’t look forward to seeing the latest Cult episode on Tuesday.  It’s been relegated to Fridays at 9pm, joining Nikita.  Even during last night’s Arrow and Supernatural the Cult logo in the bottom corner showed it airing on Tuesday, so this was obviously a late decision.

February 27, 2013 (Burbank, CA) ? CULT will move to its new night on Friday, March 8 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), as investigative journalist Jeff Sefton (Matt Davis) searches for his Missing brother and uncovers the dark underworld of the TV show “Cult” and its rabid fans.  The series also stars Jessica Lucas as Skye Yarrow, Alona Tal as Kelly Collins and Robert Knepper as Billy Grimm.

Encore episodes of CW series will take over the Tuesday, 9:00-10:00 p.m. timeslot, beginning with Beauty And The Beast on March 5.

CULT is from Fake Empire and Rockne S. O’Bannon Television in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, with executive producers Rockne S. O’Bannon (“Farscape,” “V”), Josh Schwartz (“CHUCK,” “Gossip Girl”), Stephanie Savage (“Hart Of Dixie,” “Gossip Girl”) and Len Goldstein (“Hart Of Dixie”).

Cult was only scheduled for a 13 episode run, and the network had fully intended to air all 13 episodes, but given the extreme low ratings of the first two episodes it’s obvious Tuesdays at 9 pm after Hart of Dixie wasn’t working.  I actually think Nikita makes a better pairing, but there’s no way ratings are going to go up in their Friday slot.  On Fridays there’s no ratings pressure, so enjoy the remaining 11 episodes and hopefully a darn good mystery will emerge as the show progresses.
