no complaints with this list; the only one I might add would be Dean hunting Sam in the bunker during Soul Survivor.
I loved all of your choices. I would add Jacob Styne in the Book of the Damned as a truly scary adversary. Sadly killed way too soon.
Thanks njspnfan and cheryl42. It’s amazing how easy it was to come up with the highlights. There were just about ten and that’s all. The lowlights, now going through that list too a lot more time.
I thought Dean hunting Sam in the bunker was good, but not exceptional. It could have been longer, more intense. Maybe because we all saw a preview of it at Comic Con last year and expectations were high for that episode. It didn’t deliver.
I would add the torture scene between Cole and Sam in “Reichenbach”. That was so intense. When Cole pulled at Sam’s arm I screamed with Sam and when Cole aimed with the hammer for Sam’s kneecap I closed my eyes (although they obviously wouldn’t go that far…). Brilliant acting.
Also every scene with Metatron. I really hate this character and always want to slap him on the head. I think he is the most underestimated villain in SPN. Curtis Armstrong is fantastic. When an actor raises such emotions he is definitely doing something right.
Thanks Lena! That scene in Reichenbach is a good addition. Too bad I was limited to only ten scenes!
I loved Metatron this season. I hated what they did to him in season nine, but he was way better in season ten. Robbie Thompson told us at the DePaul conference last month how much the writers loved Curtis on the show and writing for Metatron. I’m very curious what they have planned for him in S11.
