“Before Sunset”, the final episode before “The Vampire Diaries” season finale, airs tonight and man does it seem like there’s a lot to resolve (or even leave us hanging) with in two episodes.

There was no Producer’s Preview released this week, but the preview clip and trailer for this episode certainly give us some hints.  Klaus plays a friendly (cough) visit to the Gilbert household.  Seems he needs a few items for his trip out of town.  Spare tire, flashlight, doppleganger.  Needless to say, Stefan, Damon, and Jeremy didn’t accommodate.  I didn’t like the way Stefan sent Jeremy away in this clip.  After all, he is the man of the house now!

The trailer shows one vamped up Alaric on the warpath now, and he’s obviously the reason Klaus is leaving town.  Still, I’m not exactly sure why he’s going off on Elena like that, but I’m sure we’ll be given the reason.  They don’t call them teasers for nothing!  No doubt Alaric will be terrorizing all the vampires in town, including Caroline and Tyler.  Sounds like Bonnie is stepping in as well, but she’s the one that against her will sent Alaric on his deadly mission.  She’s no doubt going to want to fix this to protect her friends.

Here’s the synopsis of “Before Sunset” from The CW:

A DAY WITHOUT A VAMPIRE – Klaus acts on his intentions to leave town with Elena, but finds resistance from a surprising new enemy. Bonnie calls on Abby (guest star Persia White) to help her with a difficult spell. As events spiral out of control, Elena is determined to protect Caroline, Damon and Stefan enlist Tyler’s help, while Bonnie and Jeremy take a terrifying risk to make sure her spell is effective. Damon and Stefan have a surprisingly candid conversation about the future. Chris Grismer directed the episode with story by Charlie Charbonneau & Daphne Miles and teleplay by Caroline Dries.
