Oh NBC, your major scheduling changes disguised as a low key press release so humors me.  If you’re going to re-invent your Saturday nights, make some noise!

NBC has decided that when the highly anticipated return of a retooled show of theirs gets beaten by The Big Bang Theory repeats on cable and the higher rated CW shows, perhaps a Saturday burn off is the most graceful option.  Hey, it worked for such classics as Knight Rider (the remake) and My Own Worst Enemy.  Welcome to Saturdays Smash.  We hardly knew you.  Literally.

In other news, the peacock has decided (rightfully so) that one of the open slots left by 30 Rock and The Office on their comedy Thursdays should probably go to their one respectable new comedy this year, Go On.  The last two episodes of the season will be tested out on Thursdays at 9:30 pm after The Office.  Now this isn’t a declaration that Go On will be permanently moving, or will even get renewal, but it’s a good sign that they seriously want to bring it back next year and think it belongs with their premier comedies.  Go On does do well with DVR usage, better than most NBC shows in terms of percentage increase.

This could also be a sign that NBC will be abandoning comedy Tuesdays next season, which definitely wouldn’t be a bad idea.  If that’s the case, then the one hour season finale of The New Normal on April 2nd could be the series finale.  Another comedy in jeopardy, Whitney, will be airing it’s season (series?) finale on March 27th.

NBC is moving reality show Ready For Love to Tuesdays at 9 – 11, and will be filling in the gap on Sundays with more Celebrity Apprentice.  Joy.

All the details are below.  Hurry up and get your jabs in now, before The Voice and Revolution return to bolster this network’s free falling ratings once again.
