Julie Plec is one of my most favorite people in the world to interview.  I've participated in five roundtable interviews with her now, and they've all been pure joy. She's so passionate and lively and brings so much heart and character to her show.  This interview is no different.

In the 15 minutes we got to talk to her, she talks about the decision to turn Elena into a Vampire (hint, it happened in the books), how the brothers are dealing with Elena’s new status, how Jeremy is dealing with Elena’s new status, how Matt is dealing with Elena’s new status...you get the idea?   No, she also talks about Klaus’ (and Joseph Morgan’s) status, how long the show can keep going, how they approach storytelling, what’s Bonnie’s status, new characters, and why opinionated Twitter feedback affects (or doesn’t) the creative process.

This is the only video interview that I have from The Vampire Diaries press room, and it's in two parts because my camera battery died shortly into the interview (it was still smoking from the "Revolution" press room I believe).  So there's a minute missing, but not too much was missed.  I'll have a summary up of the other interviews at another time.  Oh, and one other thing.

Spoiler Alert!

The last person at our table was executive producer Craig Silverstein.  He was the one truly dishing on the spoilers, since he is the guy with the plan.  He reveals a couple of very interesting plot twists in season three in this interview, including a shocker about Nikita.  I will issue a Spoiler Alert on this one.  If you really don't want to know, I suggest you skip this one.

This interview got off to a great start.  It was Lyndsy's turn at our table, but Melinda Clarke hadn't got up yet to finish her turn.  So Lyndsy sat down on her lap! They had a really cute exchange, which I captured most of in the video.

The video might be a little hard to hear.  The room got very noisy and my newer video camera was running out of battery power (a problem that has since been rectified thanks to a quick trip to Fry's).  I had to use my older camcorder (rule of an IT person, always have a backup plan) and the sound on that isn't as good. Still, what I captured was another really great interview.  I think after three years of doing this, the Comic-Con press conference has become second nature to Lyndsy.  She really has come a long way since the first season.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot.  SPOILER ALERT!

Melinda Clarke was a last minute addition to the panel, and a welcome one at that.  This is the first time I've gotten to interview her in a roundtable and she's quite a character.  She's the total opposite of her character, Amanda, on Nikita.  She talks about what's upcoming for Amanda in season three, including her surprise relationhip with Ari and her quest on revenge against NIkita.  I'll give a Spoiler Warning now but in honesty, she didn't know too much about what was going to happen with her character in the new season.  She's just really fun to watch.

The first one the talk to us at this year's Nikita press conference was the amazing and beautiful Maggie Q.  We were very lucky to get 14 minutes with her.  She spilled all she knew about the upcoming season 3 and her character Nikita's direction.  There are spoilers here, so take warning now.  It's nothing too major, but there's some really fun little stuff about what's coming up with not only Michael, but her new role with the "new and improved" Division.

One of my favorite parts of Comic-Con is getting to meet different cast members from a show I've previously covered.  In this case, I got to do that twice with Nikita! Aaron Stanford (Birkhoff) made his first Comic-Con appearance for the show and our twelve minute roundtable chat with him was a real treat.  Turns out his greatest technical skill is he knows how to work his iPod.  Find out more in this interview.  I will warn, he does talk about season three and offers some spoilers, but they're really more teasers than anything.  He does talk about what's going on with his character and his on screen counterpart Sonia.

Shane West looked rested and ready for season three.  Last time I had spoken to him a few months ago, the future of Nikita was still up in the air and he was just finishing the season two finale.  He was looking forward to the upcoming time off.  Shane dishes on what's coming for his character Michael, like adjustment issues with the new regime and embracing a new domestic life with Nikita.  The following interview contains some spoilers, but they're nothing too bad.  Still if you don't want to know, don't click!

I've been very fortunate now to have interviewed with Nikita's Executive Producer Craig Silverstein three times.  He's always given great information each time.  This third time is no exception.  The show is on the bubble and the future uncertain, but that doesn't seem to be taking Silverstein away from his priorities.  He's taking it in stride, and focusing on getting through season two before moving onto his big season three pitch to the network.  He promises that he won't leave fans hanging with a nasty cliffhanger and will deliver a satisfying finale whether they return for another season or not.  He also has a little schedule change suggestion that may or may not make Supernatural fans happy.

Sablegreen was in the press room with me as well, and luckily her recording of this very informative interview turned out without complications.  I will warn, there are mild spoilers in this interview.  It's really nothing much major but there's a couple of hints.  It involves one of my favorite characters on the show, and you'll find out who that is when you hear me ask the question!

At C2E2 this weekend, we were fortunate enough to get almost 10 minutes with Nikita star Shane West during the roundtable press session.   The entire interview was video taped, and we have it right here!

Shane had wrapped shooting at 10:30 Friday evening and the crew didn't wrap until 5 am when he was on his way to the con.  Most of the questions related to Shane's acting career and his time on the Nikita set, since many of the Nikita questions were answered during the prior panel.  He talks about how the shooting schedule on Nikita, any possible projects he might pursue and how this show is very different from his days on ER.

No worries about spoilers here.  Just a great talk with a very talented actor.
